Overview

Texas de Brazil - Grand Rapids is a premier steakhouse that brings the rich traditions of Brazilian churrasco to the heart of Michigan. Nestled at 3195 28th St SE unit R103, this vibrant eatery offers an immersive dining experience that resonates with both meat lovers and those seeking a touch of culinary sophistication.

The hallmark of Texas de Brazil is its continuous parade of skewered meats, expertly grilled and served tableside by attentive gauchos. Signature selections like filet mignon, leg of lamb, braised beef ribs, and chicken breast wrapped in bacon highlight a menu crafted to celebrate bold flavors and precise cooking techniques. Each cut is juicy and tender, striking a balance between rustic charm and refined preparation.

Complementing the meat-centric offerings, the expansive salad bar stands out with its fresh, varied selections. It is more than just a starter—it's a vibrant spread featuring fresh greens, cheeses, hot Brazilian cheese bread, feijoada, and sweet fried bananas, providing an inviting palette cleanser between meat courses.

The atmosphere exudes warmth and elegance, making it ideal for special occasions and celebratory dinners. Guests frequently commend the exceptional service provided by the staff, who ensure every detail—from the timing of meat courses to recommendations on savoring flavors—is thoughtfully managed. This enhances the experience, making it not just a meal but a memorable event.

For dessert, options like Brazilian cheesecake, pecan pie, and coconut chess pie offer a sweet finale, although some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies, such as missing the classic torched sugar on the crème brûlée. Nonetheless, these desserts round off the meal with authentic flair.

Texas de Brazil’s Grand Rapids location caters to those who appreciate high-quality, diverse fare within a lively, upscale setting. It appeals to families, couples, and groups looking to celebrate milestones with food that is as much about experience as it is about flavor. While the upscale nature comes with a price point suited for special outings, the consensus is clear: the combination of service, variety, and authentic Brazilian steakhouse culture justifies the occasion.

In summary, Texas de Brazil - Grand Rapids offers a robust and elegant dining adventure. Its fusion of a dynamic meat selection, well-curated sides, and attentive service culminates in an experience where culinary tradition meets modern hospitality. Ideal for those who relish well-prepared, flavorful meats and a vibrant atmosphere, it stands as a standout choice for those seeking to indulge in something beyond the everyday steakhouse.

Be prepare, check out menu before you go. Even though the salad bar is exceptional, dont get too much, save room for why your their. They being out fries, mash potatoes, fried bananas to your table. We were eating salad bar and these got cold. Pick out the meals you want most, wait for them and or ask for them via waitress to stop by. The biggest reason for lower rating is the desserts. Of course no room in our stomachs so we got them to go. They could find anything to put ice cream in for the coconut chess pie. The crem brule didn't even have the most important part, the torched sugar on top. This is a very nice restaurant but very pricey, special occasion only. We will go again but maybe once or so a year.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell it's not your average restaurant. All the servers were very attentive, ensuring every aspect of the experience was on-point. The food was excellent, from the well stocked salad bar full of fresh sides and interesting flavors to the skewers of meat that are paraded through the dining area, every aspect was phenomenal. Loved the selection of desserts as well. A pricey experience but definitely a worthy experience, will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience! Our server, Clayton, truly went above and beyond to make our meal special. His service was outstanding. The food was the real star—the steaks and all the meats were amazing, cooked perfectly, and so flavorful. The salad bar was also very enjoyable, with a fresh and wide selection. We love this place and will definitely be back soon!

Every thing was nicely done. I could see some might not value it but I would go back. I don't eat enough meat to spend that much extra I learned, so next time I'll try just the salad bar. I loved the cheese selecting. Dessert was nice. I enjoyed the toasted coconut pie and the creme brulee had a nice fun crack.

Wow. How thankful I am to spend Thanksgiving Dinner with my lovely lady at Texas de Brazil I've never experienced service so precise, cuisine so elegantly served and all the more delicious. Our server didn't recommend what to eat. He offered insight on how to savor it. Texas de Brazil is not a restaurant. It's an experience. Full of fresh flavor. Top tier cuisines. Thankful is an understatement.

The atmosphere is very vibrant with an upscale feel. The tables are packed in very tightly. It does have a fun feeling to it all. They started by asking if I wanted sparkling or spring water. I chose spring water and got charged $8, so beware. The meal cost $57 for dinner. The sides are always fabulous. This was no different, great mashed potatoes and the fried bananas are outstanding. I could eat those every day. The meats were all excellent, very well cooked and tender. Last year I was at the Detroit location and the meats in Grand Rapids were much better. The service was good, but also my only real complaint is everyone needs to learn to speak up. I had a hard time hearing the up front counter person, then the waitress and the waiter she was training were both way too quiet to hear what they were saying. If I hadn't been to a couple of Brazilian restaurants I would have been very confused. That being said I'm not taking any points for that or the over priced water. Overall a 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely. This isn't really a place you go every weekend, it's more a special occasion. I'm glad to have a new special place to go to. I will be back a couple times a year I'm sure.

My husband and I tried Texas de Brazil for the first time tonight, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! We were seated quickly (with a reservation), and our waiter, Allan V, greeted us right away. He explained how everything worked, took our drink order, and recommended the strawberry Brazilian lemonade pitcher — which was absolutely delicious! Super fresh and perfectly balanced. I really appreciated that they didn’t leave the pitcher on the table; instead, Allan and his team stayed on top of refills so we never had to ask, and it kept the table clear (which you’ll need for all the food!). The restaurant itself is spotless and thoughtfully designed. The cold bar is huge, offering salads, cheeses, meats, vegetables, sauces, and more. The hot bar is equally impressive with their famous lobster bisque, rice, Brazilian beans, mushrooms, potatoes au gratin, and shrimp. And then there’s the meat — an endless selection! The moment you flip your card, servers are ready with perfectly cooked options. We enjoyed everything, but our favorites were the filet mignon, beef ribs, and Brazilian sausage. Alongside the meats, you’re also served sides like French fries, mashed potatoes, and cinnamon-sugar plantains. My husband loved the plantains so much he had four rounds! What really stood out, though, was the service. Allan and the entire staff made the evening feel special — attentive without ever being intrusive. At $57 per person, it is on the pricier side, but the quality of the food and the outstanding service make it 100% worth it. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

Meat quality: Excellent! The meats came around at a decent speed and were always warm. There are multiple temperature options available even if you want well done. The seasoning was just okay, with the "spicy" steak being mild at best. I would recommend getting a cup of the chimichurri from the salad bar for the steak! Salad bar: Absolutely incredible! So many options to build whatever you want, but it could use goat cheese or maybe a few other additions. Service: My server was incredible and checked in several times, including topping off water and offering plate and silverware exchanges. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and explained the specifics of how to order perfectly. A few different managers checked in as well and offered excellent recommendations. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was decent and was relatively quiet with good lighting. It definitely would be a good spot for a business meal. But it was also lacking due to a large window that shows the inside of the mall. The view into the mall is just kind of bland, I wish it had a waterfall, artwork, or something else instead. The restaurant was a little cramped, and you had to shimmy in-between tables on your way to the salad bar.
